PCT是一种人体的降钙素原的英文缩写，是一种多肽蛋白，指的是人体的一种感染的指标。

在机体感染炎症以后2小时出现，6到8小时达高峰，正常值不超过0.3ng/l，超过0.5ng/l就是说明体内有炎症反应，当然不一定是细菌感染，如果是重度烧伤、外伤等都有可能引起降钙素原升高。

正常值在0.382到0.5之间为正常值，0.5-2为轻度感染。血红蛋白正常，不低，没有问题，轻度贫血。

PCT的升高也表现在全身炎症过度，临床上称为反应过度综合征。

但当人体出现轻度炎症、局限性炎症和慢性炎症，PCT浓度一般不会显著升高。
